United States Goverment: Don’t Pay For Loan Modifications

BALTIMORE - Maryland Rep. Elijah Cummings is warning homeowners of a troubling phenomenon happening in the state and across the country.
He said for-profit companies, called loan modification firms, are charging residents $2,500 or more to negotiate better mortgage loan terms.
